The Promise è un singolo del In This Moment. Il secondo estratto dal loro terzo album in studio A Star-Crossed Wasteland, pubblicato il 28 settembre 2010. La canzone è un duetto con Otherwise vocalist Adrian Patrick. Maria Brink ha originariamente scritto la parte vocale maschile della canzone per Ivan Moody di Five Finger Death Punch, tuttavia non poteva prestare la sua voce a causa di problemi di lavoro, così hanno contattato Adrian Patrick.[1][2]

Significato della canzone

Secondo Maria Brink, la canzone parla di essere follemente innamorato di qualcuno anche se siete entrambi pericolosi l'uno con l'altro.[3]
