La stazione meteorologica di Decimomannu Aeroporto (in sardo: Istazione meteoròlogica de Deximumannu Aeroportu) è la stazione meteorologica di riferimento per il servizio meteorologico dell'Aeronautica Militare e per l'Organizzazione meteorologica mondiale, relativa alla località di Decimomannu e all'area del Campidano meridionale.

Caratteristiche

La stazione meteorologica si trova nell'Italia insulare, in Sardegna, nella città metropolitana di Cagliari, nel comune di Decimomannu, presso l'aeroporto militare, a 28 metri s.l.m. e alle coordinate geografiche 39°20′38.28″N 8°58′14.52″E.

Dal febbraio 2012 è stato trasferito anche il servizio dei radiosondaggi che precedentemente venivano effettuati presso la stazione meteorologica di Cagliari Elmas.

In base alle medie climatiche del periodo 1971-2000, la temperatura media del mese più freddo, gennaio, è di +9,3 °C, mentre quella del mese più caldo, agosto, è di +25,5 °C; mediamente si contano 8 giorni di gelo all'anno e 65 giorni con temperatura massima uguale o superiore ai +30 °C. I valori estremi di temperatura registrati nel medesimo trentennio sono i -5,0 °C del dicembre 1973 e del febbraio 1999 e i +44,0 °C del luglio 1983[1].

Le precipitazioni medie annue si attestano a 512 mm, mediamente distribuite in 67 giorni di pioggia, con minimo in estate e picco massimo in autunno.

L'umidità relativa media annua fa registrare il valore di 70,6 % con minimo di 61 % a luglio e massimo di 79 % a dicembre; mediamente si contano 28 giorni di nebbia all'anno.

In base alla media trentennale di riferimento (1961-1990) per l'Organizzazione meteorologica mondiale, la temperatura media del mese più freddo, gennaio, si attesta a +9,3 °C; quella del mese più caldo, agosto, è di +24,9 °C. Nel medesimo trentennio, la temperatura minima assoluta ha toccato i -5,0 °C nel dicembre 1973 (media delle minime assolute annue di -2,5 °C), mentre la massima assoluta ha fatto registrare i +44,0 °C nel luglio 1983[1] (media delle massime assolute annue di +39,0 °C).

Le precipitazioni medie annue sono inferiori ai 500 mm, distribuite mediamente in 68 giorni, con minimo in primavera-estate e picco autunnale.
