Rhona Natasha Mitra (Londra, 9 agosto 1976) è un'attrice, modella e cantante britannica.

Biografia

Rhona Natasha Mitra nasce a Paddington, un distretto di Westminster (Borough di Londra), il 9 agosto 1976, figlia di Anthony Mitra, un chirurgo estetico britannico, figlio di un immigrato indiano, e da Nora Downey, una casalinga irlandese. Ha un fratello maggiore, Jason, e uno minore, Guyan. Dopo il divorzio dei suoi genitori (avvenuto quando aveva 8 anni) Rhona va in collegio dove inizia ad avvicinarsi al mondo dello spettacolo interpretando vari ruoli teatrali.

Nel 1997 viene scelta come modella per dare le sembianze a Lara Croft[1] divenendo così la seconda ragazza, dopo Nathalie Cook, a prestare il proprio volto all'eroina della serie videoludica Tomb Raider. Prestando sempre voce a Lara Croft incide i due album Come Alive (1998) e Female Icon (1999), entrambi prodotti da Dave Stewart.

Appare su di una copertina della rivista Playboy. È apparsa nel 2005 nella terza stagione della serie Nip/Tuck nei panni dell'ispettore di polizia Kit McGraw.

Nel 2006 ha ottenuto una candidatura agli Screen Actors Guild Awards 2006 per la partecipazione alla serie Boston Legal. Nel 2012 e nel 2013 ha preso parte a due stagioni della serie televisiva Strike Back. Nel 2014 e nel 2015 interpreta la dottoressa Rachel Scott nella serie post-apocalittica The Last Ship (2014-2018), prodotta da Michael Bay.
