Il Ramthang Lho o Ramthang Peak è una montagna alta 6 601 m sul livello del mare sita nella sottocatena montuosa del Kangchenjunga Himal, nell'Himalaya, in Nepal.
Geografia
Il Ramthang Lho sorge 7,6 km a nord-ovest della vetta del Kangchenjunga. Una cresta montuosa conduce al Ramthang Chang (6 802 m), situato 1,86 km a nord-nord-ovest. Il Ramthang Lho è fiancheggiato dal ghiacciaio Ramthang a ovest e dal ghiacciaio Kangchenjunga a est. A sud-est, una cresta montuosa conduce alla cresta occidentale del Kangchenjunga.
Alpinismo
Il Ramthang Lho fu scalato per la prima volta il 19 maggio 1930 dai Erwin Schneider e Frank Sydney Smythe membri della spedizione internazionale himalayana guidata da Günter Oskar Dyhrenfurth: membri della spedizione furono Harriet Pauline Hetti, e Heymann Dyhrenfurth, Hermann Hoerlin, Marcel Kurz, Erwin Schneider, Frank Sydney Smythe, Uli Wieland, il medico H. Richter, il cineoperatore Charles Duvanel e tre inglesi residenti in India: il colonnello Harry Walter Tobin, J. S. Hannah e George Wood-Johnson[1].
