Storia

Il comune venne formato il 18 maggio 1998 dalla fusione dei comuni di Eichstädt, Neu-Vehlefanz e Vehlefanz[2].

Il 31 dicembre 2001 vennero aggregati ad Oberkrämer i comuni di Bärenklau, Bötzow, Marwitz e Schwante.
