Lessemsauridae (il cui nome significa "sauri di Don Lessem") è una famiglia estinta di dinosauri sauropodi primitivi vissuti nel Triassico superiore-Giurassico inferiore, circa 215-190 milioni di anni fa (Norico-Pliensbachiano), in Argentina e in Sudafrica. Un'analisi filogenetica eseguita da Apaldetti et al. descrisse questa nuova famiglia che conteneva Ingentia, Lessemsaurus e Antetonitrus, che chiamò Lessemsauridae. I lessemsauridi avevano vertebre cervicali e dorsali altamente pneumatiche, vertebre cervicali antero-posteriori molto corte ma alte, vertebre cervicali robuste, una lama distale della scapola estesa e braccia verticali.
A seconda della definizione di Sauropoda, il clade è il più antico taxon sauropode, o il taxon sorella del clade. L'analisi filogenetica è mostrata di seguito:[1]
