La canzone, scritta da Dean insieme a Matt Hales, Leon Michels e Homer Steinweiss, è stata descritta dalla cantante stessa per il suo significato:[5]

«Lady Lady è una canzone che parla dell'universo, di Madre Natura e dell'accettazione e della fiducia nel piano che lei ha per te. Parla della sensazione di dover cambiare proprio quando ti stai abituando a una versione di te stessa. Questa canzone mi ricorda il potere che abbiamo come donne, penso che trasmetta una sensazione di pace.»
