Kagney Linn Karter (Houston, 28 marzo 1987 – Cleveland, 15 febbraio 2024[3]) è stata un'attrice pornografica e modella statunitense.

Biografia

Nacque nella Contea di Harris, in Texas, ma crebbe a Saint Joseph, in Missouri[4] ed a Ridgway, in Pennsylvania[4][5].

Il suo primo lavoro fu quello di hostess di sala in un ristorante messicano, che svolse per due anni[4].

Carriera

Kagney Linn Karter all' Erotica LA 2009

Mentre si trovava in Missouri iniziò a lavorare come ballerina di danza erotica. Nel 2007 fu nominata dalla compagnia Deja Vu come Missouri Showgirl of the Year, classificandosi seconda a livello nazionale[6].

Successivamente si trasferì in California per intraprendere una carriera di attrice e cantante ma ebbe un alterco con il suo manager quando egli scoprì del suo precedente impiego come danzatrice erotica[6].

Attività come modella

Dopo aver continuato a dedicarsi al ballo in California, intraprese una carriera come modella e, dopo aver messo un annuncio sul sito Sexy Jobs[4] firmò un contratto con l'agenzia LA Direct Models e posò per dei servizi fotografici con la fotografa erotica Holly Randall[6].

Fu scelta come Penthouse Pet of the Month per giugno 2009, apparve sul numero di Hustler dell'aprile 2009 (copertina e paginone centrale)[6] e su Adult Video News di giugno 2009[7]. Posò anche per la copertina del libro fotografico di Holly Randall Erotic Dream Girls, pubblicato nell'ottobre dello stesso anno[8].

Prima dell'ingresso nell'industria pornografica si sottopose, inoltre, ad una operazione di mastoplastica additiva, passando da una coppa A ad una coppa E[9].

Attività come attrice pornografica

Nel 2008 esordì come attrice pornografica con la compagnia Naughty America in una scena con Johnny Sins distribuita su internet[4] con il nome di Kagney Linn Karter. A proposito del suo nome d'arte dichiarò di averlo scelto unendo i suoi veri due nomi Kagney (scelto da suo padre in onore di James Cagney) e Linn al cognome Karter, che si adattava perfettamente"[4].

Nello stesso anno girò inoltre la sua prima scena creampie in Sweet Cream Pies 6 (2009). All'inizio del 2010 firmò un contratto esclusivo per la casa Zero Tolerance Entertainment[1], interpretando diversi ruoli, tra cui quello di Clarice Starling in Official Silence of the Lambs Parody, parodia ufficiale de Il silenzio degli innocenti di Gary Orona[10].

Nel 2011 girò la sua prima scena di sesso anale in All About Kagney Linn Karter (2011) e in Kagney Linn Karter Is Relentless, la prima in doppia penetrazione[2]. Nel 2012 comparve poi nella sua prima scena in gangbang nel film Gangbanged 3 (2012)[9].

Rimase semi-attiva come attrice fino al 2023, durante il quale è apparsa in varie produzioni di case come Gamma Entertainment, Girlfriends Films, MYLF, New Sensations e altri[10].

Altre attività

Oltre alla carriera come attrice pornografica, si dedicò all'attività di musicista con il nome di Kagney Necessary. In tale veste pubblicò due dischi EP di canzoni elettropop, The Crossover (2018) e The Take Over (2022)[11][12]. Intorno al 2019 si trasferì inoltre da Los Angeles a Cleveland, nella contea di Cuyahoga in Ohio, venendo coinvolta in uno studio di fitness per poi avviare un suo studio di pole dance nella vicina Akron[10].

Morte

Il 19 febbraio 2024 il sito web TMZ ha annunciato la sua morte, attribuendola ad un suicidio[3]. Le indagini forensi hanno confermato che il decesso è avvenuto quattro giorni prima, ovvero il 15 dello stesso mese. Il suo corpo è stato trovato nella sua abitazione a Cleveland[10].
