In a Fever Dream è un singolo del gruppo musicale britannico Haken, pubblicato il 21 maggio 2026.[1]
Descrizione
Il brano, pubblicato a sorpresa senza alcun preavviso da parte del gruppo o dell'etichetta, rappresenta la prima pubblicazione degli Haken come quartetto a seguito dell'abbandono del chitarrista Charlie Griffiths e del bassista Conner Green annunciato a inizio anno. Le parti di chitarra sono state pertanto curate unicamente da Richard Henshall, mentre per quelle di basso la formazione britannica si è rivolta a Bryan Beller, noto per la sua militanza negli Aristocrats.[2]
Musicalmente si tratta di un brano tipicamente progressive metal che unisce elementi atmosferici di ispirazione ambient (che emergono nella prima metà del brano)[3] ed altri più aggressivi ed estremi che la critica ha accostato ai primi due album Aquarius e Visions (grazie anche a una sezione in screaming da parte di Ross Jennings nella sezione centrale) ma anche a quanto operato dal gruppo con Vector e Virus.[4]

Sebbene non sia stato realizzato alcun video per il brano, nello stesso giorno di uscita del singolo gli Haken ahnno reso disponibile un visulizer curato da Oli Kember attraverso il proprio canale YouTube.[5]
