Un femboy

Femboy[1], scritto anche femboi[2], è un termine gergale che descrive ragazzi che esprimono o assumono abitudini o comportamenti considerati tradizionalmente femminili, pur non denotando uno specifico orientamento sessuale o ruolo di genere.

Il termine nato agli inizi degli anni novanta veniva utilizzato ufficialmente per intendere fluidità di genere e come spregiativo verso gli individui transgender, cadendo in disuso in seguito e fino a tempi recenti; è stato reso popolare dai forum Internet, dai social media e dalla pornografia[3][4].

Negli studi di settore sulla sessualità e sulla pornografia, il termine viene anche utilizzato come manifestazione di elementi di fantasia sessuale.[non chiaro][5][6]
