L'eocherodonte (gen. Eochoerodon) (Li & Wang, 2026) è un proboscidato estinto, appartenente ai cherolofodontidi. Visse tra il Miocene inferiore e il Miocene medio (circa 16 - 11 milioni di anni fa) e i suoi resti fossili sono stati ritrovati in Asia.
Classificazione
Sono note due specie: Eochoerodon guangheensis dalla Cina ed E. palaeindicus dal Pakistan. Questi taxa erano stati attribuiti a Choerolophodon finché un articolo del 2026 non ha stabilito che fossero genericamente distinti da Choerolophodon.[1]
