Perché dovrebbe essere cancellato il Template solo perché la scelta delle città è ritenuta incompleta? Si potranno sempre aggiungere al Template altre città quando se ne ravvisi la necessità. Come ho spesso fatto io, ampliando le componenti di un Template quando se ne mostrava l'opportunità di farlo. Il motivo addotto per la cancellazione mi sembra - con tutto il rispetto - assai debole. In realtà ho creato tutti i template di Città della regione sostituendolo a questo, in maniera da raggruppare le città secondo una certa logica anziché avere un semplice elenco. Questo l'elenco dei template creati che sono andato a sostituire tutto dove era presente questo: Template:Città della regione degli Amara, Template:Città della regione dei Somali, Template:Città della regione dell'Oromia, Template:Città della regione delle Nazioni, Nazionalità e Popoli del Sud, Template:Città della regione di Gambella, Template:Città della regione di Tigrè. L'unica città su cui non ho applicato il template di navigazione è la città di Harar in quanto risulta l'iunica città della Regione di Harar e creare un template per una sola città non so se è accettabile. Per questo ho adottatto come motivo template obsoleto (sotituito da quelli nuovi) e orfano o non funzionante (l'ho orfanizzato io proprio perché sostituito da quelli nuovi). Il tuo lavoro mi sembra ottimo e il tuo intento lodevole. E quanto hai fatto lo manterrei senza dubbio. Però, frammentare una realtà statuale antica oltre 2000 anni può esporre a critica.

Esattamente come si si creassero i Template per le singole regioni italiane ma non se ne facesse uno per le principali città, adottando ad esempio come criterio la popolazione superiore a, diciamo, 200.000 persone. Quindi capirei se il Template per le città etiopiche includesse le città con popolazione superiore - diciamo ad esempio - di 100.000 persone. La mia preoccupazione era che proprio a causa dell'avviso, venisse cancellato il template, lasciando un po' di voci orfane. Coi template che ho create almeno le città sono raggruppate per regione e quindi non può essere considerata una mera copia della . L'altro dubbio, è che se venissero create centinaia di pagine di città etiopi, (e con l'arrivo di Wikidata non mi stupirei del fiorire di centinaia di stub ben fontati) il template potrebbe prendere una dimensione un po' troppo grande difficle da gestire. --ValterVB (msg) 15:04, 29 set 2012 (CEST)[rispondi]
