L’Asia Rugby Women’s Championship 2017 fu il 10º campionato asiatico di rugby a 15 femminile. Organizzato da Asia Rugby, esso vide la partecipazione delle stesse due squadre nazionali dell'edizione precedente, Giappone e Hong Kong, che si incontrarono l'8 e il 15 luglio 2017 in due gare con la formula dell’andata e ritorno[1].

Così come l'anno prima, il torneo non ebbe praticamente storia: il Giappone ipotecò la vittoria finale già nella gara d'andata a Odawara vincendo 58-0[2] e mettendo a segno 10 mete[2]. Nel ritorno a Hong Kong le giapponesi si imposero 60-19 confermando così il titolo vinto l'anno precedente[3].

Per il Giappone si trattò del terzo titolo assoluto e consecutivo.

Formula

Il torneo si tenne in gara doppia di andata e ritorno tra le due contendenti, in casa di ciascuna di esse. L'esito del confronto diretto avrebbe determinato la squadra campione[1].
