Aniceto Chiappini

Aniceto Chiappini (Peschiolo di Lucoli, 25 marzo 1886 – L'Aquila, 6 agosto 1967) è stato un religioso e storico italiano.

Biografia

Nato a Peschiolo di Lucoli nel 1886, entrò nell'ordine dei frati minori, per cui fu annalista, archivista e bibliotecario generale. Durante la prima guerra mondiale fu cappellano, con grado equivalente a quello di tenente; diventò poi membro della Deputazione abruzzese di storia patria, di cui diresse anche il Bullettino. La sua opera storiografica si concentrò sull'Abruzzo e sull'ordine francescano. Morì all'Aquila nel 1967, nel convento annesso alla basilica di San Bernardino.
