Amita Rao

Amita Rao (9 settembre 1998) è un'attrice e comica statunitense.

È nota per il ruolo di Issa nella serie televisiva Adults.

Biografia

Cresciuta a Centreville, Amita Rao ha frequentato il Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University di Blacksburg. In seguito, si è trasferita alla Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts di Richmond[1]. Durante gli anni di università, ha incontrato Chelsea Matkins, con la quale ha iniziato a esibirsi rappresentando sketch comici allo Shafer Alliance Laboratory Theatre di Richmond. Nel 2020 si è laureata in recitazione teatrale e inglese[2]. L'anno seguente si è trasferita a Chicago per dedicarsi a pieno titolo alla comicità improvvisata presso l'Annoyance Theatre e il The Second City[3][4]. Nel 2024 ha debuttato in televisione, recitando nella serie televisiva The Emperor of Ocean Park[5]. Dal 2025 interpreta Issa nella serie Adults[6][7].
