Survival (Kesintasan) adalah lagu dari grup musik rock alternatif asal Inggris, Muse yang masuk dalam album The 2nd Law. Lagu ini menjadi singel utama dari album. Pada 27 Juni 2012, singel ini dirilis serta diumumkan sebagai lagu resmi Olimpiade Musim Panas London, pada hari yang sama dilakukan pemutaran perdana video musik Survival di BBC Radio 1.

Latar belakang dan penulisan

Pada tahun 2011, Matthew Bellamy, vokalis dan gitaris Muse, diminta untuk menulis lagu untuk Olimpiade London 2012. Dia dan anggota lainnya kemudian mengirim lagu ke panitia Olimpiade, yang mengatakan "mereka akan senang untuk menggunakannya sebagai lagu resmi." Bellamy mengatakan lagu itu, "mengungkapkan rasa keyakinan dan tekad untuk menang."[3]

"Survival" dimainkan ketika para atlet memasuki stadion dan pada saat sebelum upacara pemberian medali; siaran internasional juga memainkannya sambil melaporkan hasil pertandingan. Selain itu, lagu tersebut masuk pada album London 2012 Rock The Games.[2][3]
