SMA Negeri 2 Sengkang / SMAN 2 Sengkang, merupakan salah satu Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri yang ada di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Sama dengan SMA pada umumnya di Indonesia masa pendidikan sekolah di SMAN 2 Sengkang ditempuh dalam waktu tiga tahun pelajaran, mulai dari Kelas X sampai Kelas XII.

Berbagai fasilitas dimiliki SMAN 2 Sengkang untuk menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar. Fasilitas tersebut antara lain:

SMA Negeri 2 memiliki banyak kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, di antaranya,

SMA Negeri 2 Sengkang didirikan pada tahun 1983 berdasarkan SK Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor: 0473/V/1983 Tentang Pembukaan,Penunggalan, dan Penegerian SMA. Sekolah ini pada awalnya hanya terdiri dari 6 ruang kegiatan belajar, 1 laboratorium IPA dan 1 ruang kantor dengan luas tanah 28.917 meter pesegi.

Waktu berjalan terus seiring dengan meningkatnya pembangunan sarana di sekolah ini. Hingga sampai saat ini tahun 2011, SMA Negeri 2 Sengkang sudah memiliki bangunan sarana sebagai berikut:

Untuk perbaikan dan peningkatan mutu, SMA Negeri 2 Sengkang telah melaksanakan berbagai program pemerintah sebagai berikut:

  1. Tahun 2008 – 2009 sebagai Sekolah Standar Nasional (SSN)
  2. Tahun 2008 – sampai sekarang sebagai sekolah pelaksana program kelas Akselerasi
  3. Tahun 2009 – sampai sekarang sebagai Rintisan Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional (RSBI) berdasarkan Keputusan Direktur Pembinaan Sekolah Menengah Atas Direktur Jenderal Manajemen Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah Departemen Pendidkan Nasional Tahun Anggaran 2009 tentang Penetapan sekolah penyelenggara program RSBI.
