René Ghil

René Ghil (1862-1925)

René François Ghilbert (27 September 1862 – 15 September 1925),[1][2] dikenal sebagai René Ghil, adalah seorang penyair Prancis. Dia adalah murid Stéphane Mallarmé, kontributor utama gerakan simbolis di Prancis, meskipun mereka kemudian berselisih karena perbedaan ideologis. Ghil menerbitkan serangkaian cerita pendek yang disebut Traité du Verbe. Dia bekerja keras pada sistem baru bahasa puitis sebagai reaksi terhadap Gerakan Dekaden dan Simbolisme. Karena penggunaan sintaksis pribadi dan kosakata neologisnya yang meluas, sebagian besar karya Ghil tidak dapat diakses. Namun karya-karyanya mendapat perhatian besar setelah kematiannya.
