Raymond Kévorkian

Raymond Haroutioun Kévorkian (lahir 22 Februari 1953) adalah sejarawan Armenia Prancis .[1] Dia adalah Anggota Asing Akademi Ilmu Pengetahuan Nasional Armenia . Kevorkian memiliki gelar PhD dalam sejarah (1980), dan merupakan seorang profesor.[2]

Biografi

Kevorkian menyelesaikan Universitas Paris VIII: Vincennes - Saint-Denis, di mana ia mengajar dan menjabat sebagai direktur Riset di Institut Geopolitik Prancis (Institut Français de Géopolitique).[3] [4] Kevorkian adalah direktur Nubarian Library [fr], Paris. Dia adalah editor jurnal kontemporer d'Histoire arménienne.

Kevorkian adalah penulis The Armenian Genocide: A Complete History, "sebuah catatan lengkap dan otoritatif tentang asal-usul, peristiwa, dan konsekuensi dari Genosida Armenia".[5] Ini awalnya diterbitkan dalam bahasa Prancis pada tahun 2006. Buku ini adalah yang pertama menggunakan arsip Perpustakaan Nubarian secara ekstensif.[6]

Pada tahun 2010, Kevorkian menerima Penghargaan Presiden dari Presiden Armenia Serge Sarkisian sebagai pengakuan atas kontribusinya yang besar sebagai seorang sarjana. Dia adalah anggota Société de Géographie dan anggota dewan Asosiasi Internasional untuk Studi Armenia .[7] Pada 2015, ia menerima Legiun Kehormatan Prancis.[8]
