Pembunuhan

Pembunuhan adalah suatu tindakan untuk menghilangkan nyawa seseorang dengan cara yang melanggar hukum, maupun yang tidak melawan hukum.^[1]^[2]

Pembunuhan biasanya dilatarbelakangi oleh bermacam-macam motif, misalnya politik, kecemburuan, dendam, membela diri, dan sebagainya.

Pembunuhan dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara. Yang paling umum adalah dengan menggunakan senjata api, atau senjata tajam. Pembunuhan dapat juga dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahan peledak, seperti bom.^[2]

Membunuh dengan sengaja

Membunuh dengan sengaja adalah pembunuhan yang telah direncanakan dengan memakai alat yang biasanya mematikan. Dikatakan seseorang membunuh dengan sengaja apabila pembunuh tersebut telah mempunyai maksud dan rencana untuk membunuh.^[3] ^[4]

Pembunuhan dengan sengaja antara lain dengan menusuk korban, menembak dengan senjata api, memukul dengan benda keras, mengalirkan listrik ke tubuh korban dan yang lainnya.

Membunuh yang terlihat seperti disengaja

Membunuh seperti disengaja adalah pembunuhan secara sengaja dilakukan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang menggunakan alat yang biasanya tidak mematikan. Perbuatan ini tidak dimaksudkan untuk membunuh. Namun, korban mengalami luka dalam atau mengalami penyebab lain sehingga korban meninggal dunia.

Membunuh tidak disengaja

Membunuh tersalah yaitu pembunuhan karena kesalahan atau keliru semata-mata, tanpa direncanakan dan tanpa adanya maksud untuk membunuh sama sekali.^[5]
