Oshibori

Oshibori ditempatkan pada tempatan bambu kecil

Oshibori (おしぼり atau お絞り[1]) atau handuk hangat adalah sebuah handuk tangan basah yang ditawarkan kepada para pelanggan di tempat-tempat seperti restoran atau bar, dan dipakai untuk membersihkan tangan seseorang sebelum makan. Oshibori telah lama menjadi bagian dari budaya penyantunan di Jepang. Pada era "Kisah Genji", handuk tersebut dipakai untuk para pengunjung. Pada zaman Edo, handuk tersebut dipakai di Hatago (error: {{nihongo}}: Butuh teks Jepang atau romaji (bantuan)). Kemudian, handuk tersebut mulai dipakai di banyak restoran.[2] Handuk tersebut kemudian dipakai di seluruh dunia. Oshibori sejuk dipakai pada musim panas, dan oshibori hangat pada musim dingin. Di Jepang, 29 Oktober dirayakan sebagai hari Oshibori sejak 2004.[3]
