Suku Amazon (bahasa Yunani: Ἀμαζόνες, Amazónes, tunggal Ἀμαζών, Amazōn) adalah suatu suku bangsa yang seluruhnya adalah perempuan pada Era Klasik dan dalam mitologi Yunani. Menurut Herodotos, suku Amazon ada di daerah perbatasan Skithia di Sarmatia (Ukraina modern). Para historigrafer lainnya berpendapat bahwa suku Amazon menghuni Asia Minor,[1] Libya,[2] atau India.[3]

Ratu Amazon yang terkenal di antaranya adalah Penthesileia, yang ikut serta dalam Perang Troya, dan saudarinya Hippolyta, yang pernah ditemui oleh Herakles. Para tentara Amazon sering digambarkan melawan pasukan Yunani dalam seni Yunani dalam cerita amazonomakhia.

Suku Amazon telah banyak diasosiasikan dengan berbagai figur historis sepanjang masa Kekaisaran Romawi dan Abad Kuno Akhir. Dalam istoriografi Romawi, ada banyak serangan suku Amazon di Asia Minor. Sejak masa Modern Awal, nama suku Amzon telah menjadi julukan untuk prajurit wanita secara umum.
