Dr. Nguyen Quoc Quan (bahasa Vietnam: Nguyễn Quốc Quân, lahir 20 November 1953) adalah seorang peneliti matematika dan aktivis hak asasi manusia Amerika Serikat kelahiran Vietnam[1] dan anggota komite kepemimpinan dari organisasi Viet Tan. Ia ditahan sejak 17 April 2012 setelah datang ke bandar udara Tan Son Nhat di Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.[2] Pada 28 April 2012, media negara Vietnam melaporkan aktivis pro-demokrasi tersebut telah ditangkap dan dituduh melakukan kegiatan-kegiatan "terorisme".[3] Sebelumnya, Dr Quan ditangkap di Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam saat berkunjung pada 17 November 2007 karena mempersiapkan selebaran-selebaran pro-demokrasi.[4][5] Pada kunjungan pertama tersebut, ia membawa terjemahan Vietnam dari buku From Dictatorship to Democracy tentang pemberontakan non-kekerasan.[6] Ia diadili di Vietnam pada 13 Mei 2008 atas tuduhan "terorisme"[6][7][8] dan dihukum penjara 6 bulan.[9] Ia kemudian dibebaskan pada 17 Mei 2008 dan kembali ke Elk Grove, California menemui istrinya dan dua putra remajanya.[9][10] Pada 2012, ia ditangkap lagi pada kunjungan lainnya ke Vietnam, dan hukum 9 bulan penjara. Usai tekanan dari AS, ia dideportasi pada 30 Januari 2013.[11]
