Museum istiqlal

Bayt AI-Qur'an dan Museum lstiqlal adalah museum yang telah di buka untuk umum sejak tanggal 20 April 1997. Museum ini menempati areal Taman Mini Indonesia Indah seluas 20.013 m². Bayt Al-Qur'an dan Museum Istiqlal ini diresmikan oleh Presiden Soeharto.[1]

Tujuan lembaga ini untuk menampilkan Islam sebagai pemersatu bangsa dari berbagai etnik di Indonesia, menampilkan ajaran dan kebudayaan Islam Indonesia yang berkualitas dan kreatif dalam percaturan internasional melalui kajian sejarah perkembangan ajaran Islam pengimplementasian dalam seni dan budaya.[1] Sejarah Bayt Al-Qur'an dan Museum Istiqlal tidak dapat dipisahkan, karena museum ini ada sebagai hasil dari Festival Istiqlal I pada tahun 1991 dan Festival Istiqlal II di Jakarta.[2]

Masyarakat umum dapat mengunjungi museum ini setiap hari, kecuali pada hari Jumat. Pengunjung domestik akan dikenakan biaya tiket masuk Rp.5000, sedangkan bagi pengunjung mancanegara perlu membayar tiket seharga Rp10.000. Museum ini juga menyediakan jasa pemandu tur dengan tarif yang bervariasi.[3]

Koleksi

Bayt Al Qur'an dan Museum Istiqlal merupakan kesatuan dari dua lembaga yang berbeda. Bayt Al-Qur'an berarti rumah Al-Qur'an dengan materi pokok berupa peragaan yang berkaitan dengan Al-Qur'an, sedangkan Museum Istiqlal menampilkan hasil-hasil kebudayaan Islam Indonesia.[4]

Koleksi yang tersimpan dalam Bayt Al-Qur'an, antara lain berupa manuskrip Al-Qur'an, Al-Qur'an cetak, Al Qur'an elektronik dan digital, terjemahan dan tafsir Al Qur'an, serta karya seni lainnya yang terinspirasi dari Al Qur'an.[5] Pada Bayt Al-Qur'an dipamerkan pula Mushaf Wanosobu (mushaf terbesar kreasi santri Pondok Pesantren Al-Asy'ariah), Mushaf Sundawi (mushaf dengan ilunasi ragam khas Jawa Barat), dan Mushaf Malaysia (mushaf dengan ilunasi ragam hias khas Malaysia).[1]

Koleksi lain yang tersimpan dalam Museum Istiqlal mencakup manuskrip keagamaan, arsitektur, tekstil, nisan, serta seni rupa modern maupun tradisional.[5]
