Museum Escher yang dulunya Istana Lange Voorhout

Museum Escher (Escher in het Paleis, Escher in the Palace) adalah sebuah museum di Den Haag, Belanda.[1] Koleksi utama di dalam Museum Escher ialah karya seni dari M. C. Escher yang dibuat pada abad ke-20 Masehi.[2] Pembukaan Museum Escher dimulai pada bulan November 2002.[3]

Museum Escher menempati bekas bangunan Istana Lange Voorhout yang didirikan pada tahun 1764.[4] Ratu Emma (Emma dari Waldeck-Pyrmont) membeli istana ini pada tahun 1896. Ia menggunakan istana ini sebagai istana musim dingin dari Maret 1901 hingga kematiannya pada Maret 1934. Empat ratu Belanda selanjutnya menggunakan istana ini sebagai kantor urusan bisnis mereka, hingga Ratu Beatrix pindah ke Istana Noordeinde, yang terletak didekat museum ini.

Museum ini memiliki pajangan permanen dari banyak karya ukiran dan litograf Escher, di antara karya-karya tersebut yang terkenal adalah Udara dan Air (burung menjadi ikan); Belvedere (bagian dalam Folly); Waterfall (di mana air terlihat memancar ke atas); Drawing (dua tangan saling menggambar). Escher in Het Paleis menampilkan beberapa pemandangan indah Italia. Dan lantai tiga museum ini berisi ruang Ilusi Optik.
