Miss South Africa (disingkat Miss SA; Afrikans: Mejuffrou Suid-Afrika, biasanya ditulis Mej. Suid-Afrika), merupakan kompetisi kontes kecantikan nasional di Afrika Selatan. Pemegang gelar ini berhak mewakili negara pada kontes kecantikan Miss Universe dan Miss Supranational. Miss South Africa juga bertanggung jawab untuk promosi dan pengabdian pada masyarakat.

Sejarah

Miss South Africa pertama adalah Catherine Higgins, pada tahun 1952. Dari tahun 1975 hingga 1984 terdapat dua pemenang nasional, Miss South Africa dan Miss RSA. Hal ini terutama karena adanya perselisihan dengan sponsor. Kedua wanita secara terpisah berpartisipasi di Miss World dan Miss Universe. Miss South Africa memiliki satu warna politik, terutama pada tahun 1970-an, ketika Miss South Africa berkulit hitam juga memilih Miss World untuk berpartisipasi.

Miss South Africa (atau runner-up pada satu kesempatan) selalu berkompetisi di Miss World, tetapi Miss South Africa pertama yang berkompetisi di Miss Universe adalah Kerishnie Naicker pada tahun 1998. Tiga Miss South Africa, yaitu, Rolene Strauss, Anneline Kriel dan Penelope Coelen telah memenangi gelar Miss World pada tahun 2014, 1974 dan 1958 berturut-turut. Satu Miss RSA telah berhasil memenangi Miss Universe, yaitu Margaret Gardiner pada tahun 1978.

Runner-up Miss South Africa tidak bersaing di setiap kontes internasional.
