Merry Christmas adalah film thriller India yang disutradarai oleh Sriram Raghavan. Difilmkan secara bersamaan dalam bahasa Hindi dan Bahasa Tamil, film ini dibintangi oleh Katrina Kaif dan Vijay Sethupathi.

Pengambilan gambar utama dimulai pada bulan Desember 2021, dengan pengumuman resmi film tersebut, dan selesai pada bulan Januari 2023. Film ini menandai debut Tamil dari Raghavan, Katrina Kaif dan komposer musik Pritam serta film Hindi ketiga untuk Vijay Sethupathi.

Setelah beberapa kali ditunda, Merry Christmas tayang di bioskop pada 12 Januari 2024.[1]

Perkembangan

Pada awal Januari 2021, Katrina Kaif menandatangani film sebagai pemeran utama wanita bersama Vijay Sethupathi, dengan arahan dari Sriram Raghavan.[2] Peluncuran film tersebut dilaporkan akan dilakukan pada bulan April, namun karena gelombang kedua pandemi COVID-19 dan Katrina dinyatakan positif COVID-19, peluncurannya ditunda[3] .Pada tanggal 25 Desember 2021, film tersebut secara resmi diumumkan dengan Ramesh Turani dan Sanjay Routray sebagai produser.

Produser Ramesh, saat berbicara dengan ETimes, mengatakan "Vijay sangat cocok dengan peran tersebut sehingga kami mendekatinya untuk film ini." dan "Katrina selalu menjadi satu-satunya pilihan kami untuk peran tersebut sejak awal[4]

Musiknya disusun oleh Pritam, menandai debut Tamilnya.[5] Hak audio diakuisisi oleh Tips Music[6]

Merry Christmas awalnya dijadwalkan rilis di bioskop pada 23 Desember 2022, namun tertunda karena penundaan produksi. Kemudian direncanakan rilis pada Desember 2023, sebelum dijadwal ulang menjadi 12 Januari 2024
