Life and Labour of the People in London adalah buku berbuah volume oleh Charles Booth yang memberikan survei tentang kehidupan dan pekerjaan kelas pekerja di akhir abad ke-19 London. Edisi pertama diterbitkan dalam dua volume sebagai Life and Labour of the People, Vol. I (1889) dan Buruh dan Kehidupan Rakyat, Vol II (1891).[1] Edisi kedua berjudul Life and Labour of the People in London, dan diterbitkan dalam 9 volume 1892-97. Edisi ketiga, berdurasi total tujuh belas volume muncul 1902-3.[2]

Ciri penting dari penelitian ini adalah produksi peta yang menggambarkan kemiskinan (lihat gambar di sebelah kanan). Tingkat kekayaan dan kemiskinan yang ditemukan oleh peneliti penelitian yang dipetakan di jalan berdasarkan jalan.[3]

Buku catatan yang digunakan untuk melakukan penyelidikan ini disimpan di Divisi Arsip Perpustakaan Politik dan Ekonomi Inggris (London School of Economics and Political Science).[4]
