Marquis Komura Jutarō, GCB, GCMG, GCVO (小村壽太郎code: ja is deprecated , September 16, 1855 – November 25, 1911) adalah seorang negarawan dan diplomat pada zaman Meiji Jepang.^[1]

Biografi

Komura lahir dari keluarga samurai kelas bawah yang bertugas di Domain Obi, provinsi Hyuga, Kyushu (sekarang Nichinan, prefektur Miyazaki). Ia menuntut ilmu di Daigaku Nankō (pendahulu Universitas Kekaisaran Tokyo). Pada tahun 1875, ia dipilih oleh Departemen Pendidikan sebagai salah satu siswa pertama yang belajar di luar negeri di bawah beasiswa pemerintah. Sementara di Harvard University, Komura berbagi penginapan dengan sesama mahasiswa Jepang Kaneko Kentaro. Pada waktunya, Komura lulus dari Harvard Law School pada tahun 1878.
