Ka'ab bin Lu'ay (bahasa Arab: كعب بن لؤي) bin Ghalib bin Fihr bin Malik adalah salah satu tokoh Bani Quraisy, dan kakek canggah ketujuh dari Nabi Muhammad.[1] Nama ka'ab dalam bahasa Arab berarti 'tumit/pergelangan kaki'.[2]

Ayah Ka'ab adalah Lu'ay bin Ghalib bin Fihr bin Malik dari Bani Kinanah, sedangkan ibunya adalah Mawiyyah binti Ka'ab bin Al-Qain bin Shay Allah bin Asad dari Bani Qudha'ah.[3] Ka'ab mempunyai dua orang saudara kandung, yaitu Amir dan Samah, dan ketiganya dikenal dengan sebutan Bani Najiyah.[3] Ka'ab juga mempunyai saudara-saudara seayah; yaitu Auf (ibunya Al-Baridah) yang keturunannya bergabung dengan Bani Ghatafan, Khuzaimah (ibunya A'idhah) yang keturunannya disebut A'idhat Quraisy, serta Sa'ad (ibunya Bunanah) yang keturunannya disebut Bani Bunanah.[3]

Ka'ab beristrikan Wahsiyah binti Syaiban bin Muharib bin Fihr bin Malik, yang masih seketurunan dengannya; dan memiliki anak-anak bernama Murrah, 'Adi, dan Hushaish[1][3]

Ka'ab adalah seorang pemimpin yang dihormati oleh kaumnya.[1] Ia sering berkhotbah pada mereka pada hari Jum'at,[5] serta menyampaikan agar mereka merenungi penciptaan alam semesta, serta mengabarkan akan datangnya seorang nabi bagi mereka.[6] Nabi Muhammad mengakui para keturunan Ka'ab bin Lu'ay sebagai kerabat dekatnya dan berdakwah kepada mereka, segera setelah turunnya Surah Asy-Syu'ara ayat 214 yang memerintahkannya untuk berbuat demikian.[7]
