Jaco Van Dormael (lahir 9 Februari 1957) adalah seorang sutradara, penulis latar dan pengarang drama Belgia. Film-filmnya dikenal karena penggambaran orang-orang dengan kekurangan mental dan fisik.

Van Dormael menjalani masa kecilnya dengan berkeliling Eropa, sebelum belajar membuat film di INSAS di Brussels, dimana ia menulis dan menyutradarai film pendek pertamanya, Maedeli la brèche (1981), yang meraih Penghargaan Film Asing Kehormatan di Student Academy Awards. Debut film fiturnya Van Dormael, Toto le héros (1991), merupakan sebuah hit dan memenangkan Caméra d'Or di Festival Film Cannes.

Lima tahun kemudian, Van Dormael meraih penghargaan kembali di Cannes karena film Le huitième jour (1996), dimana dua aktor utamanya, Daniel Auteuil dan Pascal Duquenne, secara bersamaan meraih penghargaan untuk Aktor Terbaik. Film fitur ketiganya, Mr. Nobody (2009), meraih sambutan dan beberapa penghargaan, memenangkan enam Penghargaan Magritte, termasuk Film Terbaik dan Sutradara Terbaik.
