Jack Scott, terlahir sebagai Giovanni Dominico Scafone Jr. (24 Januari 1936 – 12 Desember 2019)[1] adalah seorang penyanyi dan pencipta lagu berkebangsaan Kanada dan Amerika Serikat. Dia menjadi yang terkenal saat menyanyikan lagu-lagu utamanya seperti "Leroy", "My True Love", "With Your Love", "Goodbye Baby", "Oh, Little One", "Cool Clear Water", "It Only Happened Yesterday", "What In the World's Come Over You", dan "Burning Bridges". Namanya masuk ke dalam Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame pada tahun 2011 dan dijuluki sebagai "penyanyi rock and roll Kanada terbesar sepanjang masa yang tak perlu diragukan lagi."[2]

Meninggal

Scott meninggal karena gagal jantung kongestif pada 12 Desember 2019, pada usia 83 tahun. Keponakannya, penyanyi dan sekaligus aktris Rio Scafone, mengumumkan kematian pamannya di halaman Facebook-nya, menyatakan bahwa ia menderita serangan jantung besar-besaran pada 8 Desember dan tidak ada yang bisa mereka lakukan untuknya. Jack Scott meninggal empat hari kemudian, pada sore hari.[3]
