Hero dari Isksandariyah (bahasa Yunani: Ἥρων ὁ Ἀλεξανδρεύς, Heron ho Alexandreus; yang juga dikenal sebagai Heron dari Iskandariyah sekitar 10 – sekitar 70 Masehi) adalah seorang teknisi dan matematikawan Yunani yang aktif di kota asalnya Iskandariyah, Mesir Romawi. Ia dianggap sebagai pembuat eksperimen terbesar pada zaman kuno[1] dan karyanya adalah perwakilan dari tradisi ilmu pengetahuan Helenistik.[2]

Hero menerbitkan sebuah deskripsi terkenal dari sebuah alat bertenaga uap yang disebut dengan nama aeolipile (yang terkadang disebut sebagai "mesin Hero"). Ia dikatakan menjadi seorang pengikut dari atomis. Beberapa gagasannya berasal dari karya-karya Ctesibius.

Rancangan dan penulisan asli buatan Hero telah hilang, tetapi beberapa karyanya disandur dalam manuskrip-manuskrip Arab.
