Hermocrates (Yunani Kuno: Ἑρμοκράτης) adalah jendral Sirakusa selama Ekspedisi Sisilia oleh Athena.

Referensi bersejarah pertama mengenai Hermocrates adalah pada saat kongres Gela tahun 424 SM, dimana ia berpidato meminta orang Yunani Sisilia menghentikan pertengkaran mereka.[1] Pada tahun 415 SM, ia mengusulkan koalisi yang akan meliputi kota non-Sisilia (dan juga kota non-Yunani seperti Kartago) dalam aliansi melawan Athena.[2]

Hermocrates juga merupakan salah satu tokoh yang muncul dalam dialog Plato Timaeus dan Critias. Plato awalnya berencana menulis dialog ketiga yang berjudul Hermocrates, tetapi ia tidak pernah menulisnya.
