Gua Mampu

Gua Mampu adalah pariwisata gua yang terletak di Desa Cabbeng, Kecamatan Dua Boccoe, Kabupaten Bone, Sulawesi Selatan.[1] Gua Mampu berada di lereng Gunung Mampu dengan ketinggian 250 meter dari permukaan laut. Bila dilihat dari jauh, Gunung Mampu menyerupai sebuah kapal. Di salah satu sisi puncak Gunung Mampu ada lubang yang menembus lelangit Gua Mampu.[2] Gua yang luasnya sekitar 2.000 meter persegi ini menyuguhkan pemandangan menarik dengan keindahan ornamen gua. Selain itu ada pula benda peninggalan sejarah yang punya banyak cerita.[1]

Legenda

Warga setempat meyakini bahwa Gua Mampu adalah gua terkutuk. Konon, gua ini dulunya kampung yang terkena kutukan Dewa Kerajaan Mampu. Karena kutukan itu, maka semua penghuni kampung berubah menjadi batu.[3] Jika diperhatikan seksama, memang ada beberapa bongkahan batu yang menyerupai wujud manusia, hewan, perahu, tanaman, dan lain-lain. Selain diyakini sebagai gua terkutuk, warga sekitar juga percaya bahwa siapa pun yang tak sengaja jatuh di dalam gua ini maka jodohnya sebentar lagi akan datang.[4]

Pengunjung yang datang tidak bisa langsung masuk, melainkan harus ditemani pemandu dan memakai alat penerangan seperti obor atau senter.[1]
