FC Lugano adalah tim sepak bola profesional asal Swiss yang kini berkompetisi di Swiss Challenge League. Tim ini didirikan pada 1908 dan berasal dari Lugano, sebuah kanton selain kanton Bellinzona dan Ticino di Swiss yang berbahasa resmi Bahasa Italia. Memainkan laga kandang di Stadio Cornaredo. Tim ini memainkan musim di Liga Super Swiss di periode 1922–1953, 1954–1960, 1961–1963, 1964–1976, 1979–1980, 1988–1997, 1998–2002, dan dari tahun 2015 sampai sekarang.

Pada 18 Agustus 2021, diumumkan bahwa miliarder Amerika dan pemilik Chicago Fire FC, Joe Mansueto, telah membeli FC Lugano dan Fire dan FC Lugano akan bekerja sama sebagai klub saudara.[1] Pada 1 September 2021, asisten pelatih Mattia Croci-Torti mengambil alih tugas kepelatihan di klub, menggantikan Abel Braga.[2] Musim pertama di bawah kepemilikan baru akan segera terbukti sukses, karena mereka mampu memenangkan gelar pertama mereka setelah 29 tahun, memenangkan Piala Swiss 2021-22.[3] Setahun kemudian, mereka gagal mempertahankan gelar piala, kalah 2–3 di final yang menarik dari juara Swiss Young Boys.[4]
