Everything Bad is Good for You: How Today's Popular Culture Is Actually Making Us Smarter adalah sebuah buku oleh Steven Berlin Johnson di mana ia mengatakan bahwa budaya populer secara umum, dan acara TV dan permainan komputer secara khusus, telah berkembang menjadi lebih kompleks dan membuat kita lebih pandai.

Argumen Johnson adalah karena dalam memainkan sebuah game, kita harus menebak-nebak bagaimana mengendalikan permainan, tujuan permainan, dan batas-batasnya.
