Enam dari Dua Belas Rasul Meksiko pertama

Dua Belas Rasu Meksiko atau Dua Belas Rasul Spanyol Baru adalah sekelompok dua belas misionaris Fransiskan yang datang ke Kewalirajaan Spanyol Baru pada 13 atau 14 Mei dan mencapai Mexico City pada 17 atau 18 Juni.[1] dengan tujuan menyebarkan agama Kristen di kalangan penduduk asli. Penakluk Hernán Cortés meminta para frater Ordo Fransiskan dan Dominikan untuk menginjili suku Indian. Meskipun berjumlah kecil, mereka memiliki signifikan relijius dan juga menandai permulaan penginjilan sistematis di kalangan suku Indian di Spanyol Baru.[2]
