Brian Puspos adalah koreografer & artis rekaman Filipina dari Houston, Texas. Dia adalah anggota SoReal Cru, yang dinyatakan sebagai runner up di Musim 2 kejuaraan America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC) pada tahun 2008. Kemudian, di musim 7 ABDC,[1] Puspos tampil bersama Most Wanted Crew pada 2012. Pada 2012 dan 2014, ia menerima gelar Male Choreographer of the Year oleh World of Dance.[2]

Early life

Puspos lahir dan dibesarkan di Houston, Texas.[3] A Filipino berdasarkan warisan, ia bersekolah di Cypress Creek High School (Harris County, Texas). Puspos memandang acara seperti Fresh Prince of Bel-Air dan Martin sebagai sumber pengaruh dan inspirasi dalam koreografinya.[3] Dia menghabiskan masa kecilnya sebagai penari cadangan, koreografi dan tampil di pertunjukan bakat lokal dan untuk berbagai artis Houston yang akan datang.[4]

Karier

Puspos mengadakan lokakarya, mengajar, dan tampil di lebih dari 40 negara di seluruh dunia. Dia telah bekerja dengan dan membuat koreografi video untuk berbagai artis populer seperti Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, BTS, dan Marques Houston.[5] Dia membuat EP debutnya yang berjudul Slow Love and Bangin'[6] pada Januari 2017. Puspos baru-baru ini tampil dalam video musik rapper GoldLink untuk "Spectrum".[7]

Kontroversi

Pada tahun 2014, Puspos menerima reaksi keras setelah tweet kontroversial tentang penggunaan rutin dancenya oleh YG iKON. Meskipun dia telah menghapus tweetnya, tangkapan layar dari tweetnya, serta balasan yang dia kirim mengenai masalah ini, terus beredar secara online. Tweet Brian berbunyi “Koreografiku digunakan sekali lagi oleh para iKON. Hei YG, pekerjakan koreografer lain kali. Berhentilah mengambil jalan pintas :)”.[8][9][10]
