Becket adalah sebuah adaptasi film drama Inggris-Amerika Serikat 1964 dari drama Becket or the Honour of God karya Jean Anouilh yang dibuat oleh Hal Wallis Productions dan dirilis oleh Paramount Pictures.[2] Film tersebut disutradarai oleh Peter Glenville dan diproduksi oleh Hal B. Wallis dengan Joseph H. Hazen sebagai produser eksekutif. Skenarionya ditulis oleh Edward Anhalt berdasarkan pada drama Anouilh. Musiknya dibuat oleh Laurence Rosenthal, sinematografinya oleh Geoffrey Unsworth dan penyuntingannya oleh Anne V. Coates.

Film tersebut dibintangi oleh Richard Burton sebagai Thomas Becket dan Peter O'Toole sebagai Raja Henry II, dengan John Gielgud sebagai Raja Louis VII, Donald Wolfit sebagai Gilbert Foliot, Paolo Stoppa sebagai Paus Alexander III, Martita Hunt sebagai Permaisuri Matilda, Pamela Brown sebagai Ratu Eleanor, Siân Phillips, Felix Aylmer, Gino Cervi, David Weston dan Wilfrid Lawson.

Cetakan-cetakan restorasi dari Becket dirilis ulang di 30 bioskop di AS pada awal 2007, setelah rerstorasi khusus dari para master perlindungan pecahan YCM dari film tersebut.[3] Film tersebut dirilis dalam bentuk DVD oleh MPI Home Video pada Mei 2007[4] dan dalam bentuk Cakram Blu-ray pada November 2008. Cetakan film barunya membawakan sebuah soundtrack Dolby Digital, meskipun soundtrack dari film aslinya, yang aslinya dibuka sebagai perilisan teatrikal jalanan, juga direkam.

Becket memenangkan Academy Award untuk Skenario Adaptasi Terbaik, dan dinominasikan untuk sebelas penghargaan lainnya, termasuk Film Terbaik, Sutradara Terbaik dan dua kali untuk Aktor Terbaik.
