Armando Calderón Sol (24 Juni 1948 – 9 Oktober 2017) adalah Presiden El Salvador dari 1 Juni 1994 hingga 1 Juni 1999, mewakili Aliansi Nasionalis Republik. Dia adalah presiden pertama yang terpilih di El Salvador setelah dua belas tahun perang saudara.[1]

Kehidupan awal

Lahir di San Salvador pada tahun 1948,[2] Calderón bersekolah di sekolah dasar dan menengah eksklusif Colegio Externado San José, lulus pada tahun 1966. Pada tahun 1977, Calderón menerima gelar sarjana di bidang Yurisprudensi dan Ilmu Sosial dari Universidad Nacional de El Salvador.[3]

Kematian

Calderón Sol meninggal pada 9 Oktober 2017 karena kanker paru-paru[4] di rumah sakit Houston, Texas, pada usia 68 tahun.[5][6]
