Sistem angkutan cepat di Tokyo adalah sistem angkutan cepat (rapid transit) di wilayah metropolitan Tokyo Raya di Jepang. Sistem ini dilayani dua perusahaan: Tokyo Metro dan Biro Transportasi Metropolitan Tokyo ("Toei Metro") dan jaringannya digunakan oleh rata-rata 7,8 juta penumpang setiap hari.[1] Walaupun sebagian besar dari sistem angkutan cepat ini berada dalam pusat kota, jalur-jalurnya juga melayani daerah pinggiran kota melalui integrasi dengan jaringan kereta komuter.

Pengelola

Sistem angkutan cepat di Tokyo dikelola oleh:

  • Tokyo Metro - hasil penswastaan pada tahun 2004; sebelumnya bernama Otorita Angkutan Cepat Teito (帝都高速度交通営団 Teito Rapid Transit Authority, "Eidan" atau "TRTA", didirikan pada tahun 1941). Tokyo Metro mengoperasikan 175 stasiun (per 14 Juni 2008) dan tarif minimum adalah 160 yen untuk satu kali perjalanan.
  • Biro Transportasi Metropolitan Tokyo (atau "Toei Metro") - dimiliki oleh Pemerintah Metropolitan Tokyo, perusahaan ini mengoperasikan 106 stasiun (per Oktober 2007) dan tarif minimum adalah 170 yen untuk satu kali perjalanan.

Jalur lainnya

Jalur Yamanote yang dimiliki JR East (JR) bukanlah bagian dari sistem angkutan cepat, tetapi merupakan jalur kereta komuter. Meskipun begitu, Jalur Yamanote berperan sebagai jalur arteri di pusat kota Tokyo, oleh karena itu jalur ini sering dimasukkan dalam peta angkutan cepat Tokyo. Selain itu, Jalur Rinkai yang secara resmi bukan dianggap sebagai bagian dari sistem angkutan cepat Tokyo, beroperasi dengan delapan stasiun sepanjang 12,2 km (10 km di bawah tanah) yang menghubungkan Tokyo dengan pulau-pulau buatan di Teluk Tokyo.

Tiket

Untuk perjalanan tunggal, sebuah tiket transfer khusus diperlukan untuk menyeberang dari suatu sistem ke sistem yang lain dan biaya tambahan sebesar 90 atau 100 yen harus dibayarkan, tetapi hal ini dapat dihindari jika menggunakan sistem kartu isi-ulang (stored value) PASSNET yang diperkenalkan pada tahun 2000. PASSNET dapat digunakan di sebagian besar jalur kereta di Tokyo Raya kecuali JR East yang menggunakan kartu Suica. Pada tahun 2007 diperkenalkan kartu PASMO yang mempunyai kompatibilitas dengan Suica maupun PASSNET sehingga kini tersedia sistem kartu isi-ulang yang dapat digunakan di hampir seluruh jaringan kereta api Tokyo.
