Saltugilia je rod cvjetnica iz porodice Polemoniaceae (plamenke ili jurničevke), rasprostranjen uglavnom na zapadu Sjedinjenih Američkih Država i u sjevernom Meksiku. Opisan je 2000. i nema sinonima.[1]

Opis

Ovaj mali rod biljaka iz sušnih područja zapadne Sjeverne Amerike, poznat po lijepim cjevastim cvjetovima. Obuhvaća nekoliko vrsta zeljastih biljaka s cjevastim, često ljubičastim ili plavim cvjetovima. Raste na suhim, otvorenim područjima poput pustinja, kamenjara i planinskih padina. Blisko je povezan s rodovima poput Gilia i drugim članovima iste porodice. Rod je izdvojen iz šireg roda Gilia na temelju morfoloških i genetskih razlika.[2]
