Roque Cinchado
Roque Cinchado je vulkanska kamena formacija koja se smatra simbolom otoka Tenerife (Kanarski otoci, Španjolska). Nalazi se unutar Nacionalnog parka Teide ( lokacije svjetske baštine) u općini La Orotava, u blizini vulkana Teide, u srcu otoka. Roque Cinchado se nalazi oko 1700 metara ispod vrha vulkana Teide. Pripada skupini kamenih formacija, ostataka nekadašnjeg vrha otoka, poznatog kao "Roques García".
Roque Cinchado je kameni stup visok 27 metara, sastavljen uglavnom od vulkanoklastičnih sedimentnih slojeva stijena. [1] Njegove gornje sedimentne slojeve probila su dva sila lave, koja su gornji dio stupa učinila otpornijim na eroziju.[2]
Stijena se pojavila na novčanicama od tisuću pezeta, s Teideom u pozadini.
