Pierreodendron je rod tropskog drveća iz porodice gorkuničevki. Prirodno područje rasprostranjenosti ovog roda je od zapadne tropske Afrike do Angole.[1]

Pierreodendron Engl. je rod afričkih stabala iz porodice gorkuničevki. Prepoznatljiv je po vrlo velikim listovima, dugima do oko 1 m, karakterističnim liskama te velikim cvatovima s crvenkastoljubičastim cvjetovima.

Rod obuhvaća dvije međusobno srodne vrste. Osim po pojedinim obilježjima liski, razlikuju se i po broju prašnika: Pierreodendron kerstingii ima deset prašnika, dok ih P. africanum ima 15–18. Pierreodendron kerstingii je rijetko manje stablo rasprostranjeno od Obale Bjelokosti do Kameruna. U tu je vrstu uključena i nekadašnja Mannia simarubopsis Pellegr. Druga vrsta, P. africanum, zamjenjuje je prema jugu i rasprostranjena je od južne Nigerije preko Konga do Angole. [2]
