Microsteris, monotipični biljni rod iz porodice jurničevki.[1] Često svrstavan u rod Phlox, s kojim dijeli mnoge morfološke sličnosti. Sličan je Phloxu po perijantu, androeciju i plodu, a razlikuje se samo po prisutnosti sluzavih sjemenki i manje krunice kod Microsterisa.
Sažeti opis
Microsteris gracilis je mala, nježna, sitna kratkoživuća jednogodišnja cvjetnica iz porodice Polemoniaceae prilagođena suhim staništima zapadne Sjeverne Amerike. Često ima bijele ili blijedo ružičaste cvjetove. Rasprostranjenost: Raste na zapadu Sjedinjene Američke Države i u dijelovima Kanada, a staništa su joj suha i otvorena područja – pustinje, travnjaci i kamenjari. [2] Postoje dvije podvrste
