'Loeselia, je rod zeljastih, ukrasnih i ekološki prilagođenih biljaka toplijih područja Amerike iz porodice Polemoniaceae, rasprostranjen uglavnom u Meksiku i dijelovima Srednje Amerike.[1]
Sažeti opis
Obuhvaća jednogodišnje i višegodišnje vrste koje često imaju uspravne stabljike i cjevaste, živo obojene cvjetove (najčešće crvene ili ljubičaste), prilagođene oprašivanju kukcima i pticama.
Rod je dobro prepoznatljiv po svojim cvjetovima i prilagodbi toplim, često sušnijim staništima.[2]
