Intel Pentium

Intel Pentium, 32 bitni procesor, prvi superskalarni x86 procesor tvrtke Intel predstavljen je 22 ožujka 1993. 1996. predstavljen je set instrukcija Pentium MMX.

Naziv Pentium uzet je iz grčkog jezika (pente, a znači 5) i latinskog sufiksa (num). Od tada Intel proizvodi procesore Pentium sve do današnjih dana (s kraćim prekidom 2006.)

Ocem Pentium procesora smatra se Vinod Dham, iako su i mnogi drugi sudjelovali u njeogovm razvoju poput John H. Crawforda.
