Helicodraba, monotipski rod iz porodice kupusovki (Brassicaceae)[1] Helicodraba je “novi” segregirani rod iz kompleksa Draba, priznat na temelju modernih filogenetskih podataka.[2]
Opis
Rod Helicodraba ima nov i specifičan taksonomski status. Danas se smatra važećim rodom u porodici Brassicaceae. Formalno je opisan kao novi rod (gen. nov.) tek nedavno (2025) od strane autora D.A.German i M.A.Koch. Ranije nije bio priznat kao zaseban rod, nego je bio sekcija unutar roda Draba (Draba sect. Helicodraba prema O. E. Schulzu, 1927).
Rod je vrlo mali – obuhvaća trenuto jednu vrstu sa dvije podvrste, obje endemične za planinske dijelove Maroka (Visoki i Srednji Atlas). Tipična vrsta: Helicodraba hederifolia (lektotip određen u novom radu).
Njegovo izdvajanje u poseban rod temelji se na molekularnim (filogenetskim) analizama i morfološkim razlikama unutar plemena Arabideae.
