Eremitilla, monotipski biljni rod iz porodice volovotkovki (Orobanchaceae).
Osnovno
Otkrio ju je 1985. godine znanstvenik iz njujorškog botaničkog vrta, Wayt Thomas, na jednoj malenoj regiji u planinama Sierra Madre del Sur, u Meksiku. Ovu čudnu biljku na kraju je identificirao Georgea Yatskievycha iz Botaničkog vrta Missouriju, i opisao je kao kao aklorofilnog parazita na korijenu biljke Hedyosmum mexicanum. Značenje njezinog imena je "mali pustinjak Meksika".[1]Trenutno se smatra da je novi takson Eremitilla mexicana, endemski za državu Guerrero u Meksiku.[2]
